    1. My First Lucid Dream

by , 07-19-2012 at 05:51 PM (Epic Dreamscape)
This is the first entry to my dream journal, and it's the only Lucid dream that I'll put in here that happened in the past. Everything else will be a dream I have within a week of when it's posted.

It didn't start out as an LD, and I was wondering through a forest of Bamboo. I came upon a small pond with the bamboo slightly cleared around it, and as I started towards it, a tiger poked it's head out of the bamboo. I felt kind of scared then, but as it leaned it's head in closer to mine, the fear slowly dissipated, until I was looking at the Tiger as I would an old friend. Then, it spoke, and I can't exactly recall what it said, but it was one word, and for the sake of the story, I'll say that it said "Waken". Anyway, after it said the word, I gained Lucidity right there. All of a sudden, the colors became sharper, everything was more focused and bright, and that wave of happiness and excitement that you get when you become lucid (especially for the first time) washed over me, and it woke me up.
    2. My first!

I'm so excited-and p.o.ed. I have been trying to have a Lucid for about a week and on atempt 4 (1-3 were all failures), I had one! It was last night. I have a big 'A' written all over (on my mirror and hand, for example) so that when I see them, I do reality checks. Well because of this, I have been in the habit of doing the plugged-nose-breathing one really often, especially in bed. So I am in bed and decide that I should do one for funzies and don't you know, I was able to breath! I remember thinking loudly (if that's possible) "I'm Dreaming!" and then I woke up for reals.

Special note: If you are reading this and you are a first timer having troubles, I would suggest trying the MILD method. The first 3 times I tried the WILD method with absolutely no progress (granted it was only 3 nights). The MILD worked the first time, even though it was for only a moment.
